I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here bosses were forced to scrap one of the series’ most iconic stunts after a “health and safety” issue left crew helpless and “unable to take any chances”
I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here bosses were forced to axe one of the show’s most iconic stunts.
The 2025 series launched on Sunday 16 November with a brand new all-star cast, but disappointed fans were gutted to see that Ant and Dec’s spectacular helicopter arrival was scrapped due to weather conditions.
Stringent health and safety regulations forced the presenting pair to rock up by motor instead to greet the cast. Dec revealed: “We had a chopper on the ground and basically it started raining and we couldn’t get in the chopper.”
Ant then joked: “Health and safety gone mad,” while an insider revealed: “They couldn’t take any chances,” reports the Mirror.
Daily Star are backing our girl Kelly Brook to win the 2025 series – click here to find out more about our campaign.
In past series the duo have made their entrance via helicopter or even speedboat but this year’s weather has been all over the place, with brutal storms battering the camp on Sunday before scorching 30-degree temperatures on Monday.
A source explained: “The very wet weather on Sunday and the end of last week played havoc with the filming as well as conditions in camp, with all the leeches and bugs coming out. But the weather then did a dramatic about-turn and was sizzling in the last 24 hours. It’s the ideal temperature for lots of Jungle Shower action.”
This comes as Kelly Brook pledged that she was ready to strip off for the iconic Jungle shower. She pleaded with I’m a Celebrity viewers to embrace her curves after being targeted by trolls over her physique. She said: “Obviously, I am not a 20-year-old bikini model anymore.”
“You know, life changes and your body changes and I just hope people are accepting of me and how I look now, and not comparing me to how I used to look. You know, I am a very different person. I am older, but I am still strong and I am still fit and that is the most important thing.”
Kelly has “embraced” her curves: “I feel really confident. I feel like my body is in good shape. I just feel great. I am 46, I embrace my curves. I embrace my body. I ran a marathon this year so I am proud of that.”
