• I’m A Celebrity star Ruby was born in Illinoisis and is an American-British actress, comedian, writer, television presenter, and mental health campaigner. She co-starred in ’80s British comedy show Girls on Top. She trained in classical theatre and spent several years performing with the Royal Shakespeare Company in the UK. She was a script editor for the BBC sitcom Absolutely Fabulous.
• The 72-year-old is said to be worth £4m thanks to her impressive career. She was reportedly paid an impressive £95k for her stint in the I’m a Celebrity jungle but that dwarfs the amount her co-star Aitch was reportedly paid – a whopping £250k.
• The star has been married to TV producer Ed Bye for nearly four decades. Ed’s credits include Kevin and Perry, Red Dwarf and Bottom. The couple met in the ’80s when Ed was directing the actress in her sitcom Girls on Top. Ruby shares three children with Ed: son Max, 37, and daughters Maddy, 35, and Marina, 32. According to Hello!
