Kelly Brook is one of the famous faces taking part in the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! but the model has admitted she has a number of fears

Kelly Brook has triggered concerns she might abandon I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! before the programme even kicks off.

The 45-year-old model is amongst the celebrity line-up preparing to tackle Ant and Dec’s jungle challenge and has already touched down in Australia, but her recent confessions suggest her participation could be short-lived.

The Loose Women panellist will need to survive in the wilderness alongside her famous campmates, including Emmerdale favourite Lisa Riley, Spandau Ballet frontman Martin Kemp and broadcaster Alex Scott among others, whilst confronting various gruesome trials.

During a chat on the How to Fail podcast, Kelly revealed her deep-seated fears to host Elizabeth Day, confessing: “I’m even scared to get the Tube at Leicester Square… I wait for someone to be in front and behind me so I’m sandwiched. I’m scared of heights, snakes, spiders – all of those things,” reports the Mirror.

The star had previously insisted she would never participate in the survival programme, consistently rejecting it due to her anxieties, but after announcing her change of heart, she declared she now “didn’t give a damn”.

She pondered: “What changed? Really good question. A friend of mine got asked to have a meeting with the producers of I’m A Celebrity and I said, You have to do it, I love watching it, what an incredible life experience… I was thinking, why can’t I give myself that advice? I realised it was basically out of fear, and I thought, it’s about time that I live my don’t give a damn era!”

Before jetting off, Kelly was seen at Heathrow Airport alongside her husband Jeremy Parisi, ready to bid farewell to the comforts of home – and her cherished dog, Teddy.

She confessed: “I am going to miss my dog Teddy and my husband Jeremy.”

It’s been reported that Kelly went the extra mile to ensure her spoilt pet would be well looked after during her absence.

An insider revealed to The Sun: “Kelly is besotted with Teddy and he is used to fine dining, so Kelly spent all hours making sure the freezer was piled high with his special dinners.”

They continued: “There’s everything from poached salmon with cavolo nero cabbage through to venison steak with Chantenay carrots. She didn’t have much time to get everything sorted among all her work commitments but catering for Teddy was the priority.”

It’s also been suggested that Kelly meticulously labelled Teddy’s meals to prevent her husband from mistakenly consuming them.

Kelly, who tied the knot with the Italian model in 2022, reportedly agreed to participate in the jungle-based reality show after years of insisting she’d never take part.

In 2018, she confessed to The Sun: “I hate confined spaces. I don’t want to eat eyeballs or sheep testicles. Even if I had a huge tax bill I had to pay it urgently, I still wouldn’t do it.”

Fast forward seven years and Kelly has had a change of heart – viewers are now keen to see how the stylish TV star handles creepy crawlies, bushtucker trials and life in the jungle.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! returns to ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday, November 16
