Stunning Lori Buckby, 40, has been a Babestation model for 20 years and says she is constantly recognised in public – even while doing her weekly food shop in Tesco

A veteran Babestation model revealed what it’s like being one of the most recognisable faces in the adult entertainment industry – including enduring ‘awkward’ interactions in Tesco.

Lori Buckby became a household name on the legendary channel after being talent-spotted by a recruiter, quickly establishing herself as one of the platform’s go-to models.

The 40 year old from Northampton proved she had what it takes, attracting legions of devoted admirers eager to ring in for a cheeky chinwag.

However, baring all on television can lead to some rather uncomfortable encounters in day-to-day situations, with Lori frequently turning heads during routine errands – including while browsing the produce section.

“I was in Tesco doing a quick evening shop when this guy recognised me,” revealed the adult entertainer, who posts under @onlylittlelori1 on Instagram.

“He was pushing the trolley, and his wife was walking next to him. As they walked by me in the vegetable aisle, he looked me dead in the eye – and it was clear that this man had seen me naked.

“His wife strolled on by, completely oblivious. Some people will stay quiet and give me looks like this, but many others approach me to say they’ve ‘seen me’ before.

“I mostly find it funny! It’s especially nice when a fan recognises me from my earlier days on Babestation. Some of them have been loyal viewers for decades, so I must be doing something right!”.

Babestation launched in 2002, initially operating as an adult chat television channel before expanding with a dedicated website in 2015. When Lori first began working on the channel, she clocked in five nights a week from 10pm until 3am.

She operated on a rota system alongside “a handful of other women”, describing the whole thing as quite “intense”. Lori explained: “There were three girls on set – two would be on the phones and one would present.

“I started with presenting, and I got on really well with it, especially because I’d done modelling before. I absolutely loved it, but it was an intense experience.

“Back then, you’d have more men pushing boundaries, but if someone says something rude, you just push back. But I’ve been pretty lucky with my fans.

“We’d just have normal chats, about football and what they were having for dinner, and I think these kinds of real conversations worked better for me – and helped me stand out.

“You don’t want every girl acting and looking the same.” While many of the model’s conversations were pleasant and innocent exchanges, there have been numerous steamy interactions as well.

Lori has experienced couples calling the line for ‘threesome-style’ chats, as well as groups of lads ringing on a night out – until they realise one of them has to pay for it.

The Babestation star admitted that she never really knows how the conversation is going to go. Lori has had chats about elbow fetishes, others pester her to get a glimpse of her knees.

Although the majority of callers are men, Lori gets the rare call from women too.

Two decades later, Lori continues to boast numerous loyal followers – both longstanding and fresh admirers. She recalled: “The other day, someone said they remembered my first-ever Babestation show.

“I couldn’t believe it – back then I had blonde hair and I’ve definitely evolved.

“But it’s really nice that people have stuck with me and that I’ve actually lasted this long, because you do see a lot of girls over the years who come and go.

“They either don’t have the skills or the job just isn’t for them. The main change since I started out is probably going from TV to cams, where people can log in online and choose who they want to speak to.

“It’s a bigger market now. This is better for the models because we have the opportunity to make money whenever we want.”

Lori takes pride in being part of an industry that’s grown and changed along with her She has established a routine and embraces the ‘freedom’ the job gives her.

The model only works two shifts a week and is often travelling around the world thanks to the flexibility of her work. She concluded: “Babestation really is like one big family.

“It’s a really empowering job. But I don’t want to be a granny on TV, so this won’t be forever.

“Then again, if the beauty industry keeps getting better, give me another 20 years!”
