Jimmy Kimmel took to the air Tuesday to mock Donald Trump’s appearance, as rumors swirled that the former president had died following a bizarre TV appearance.

Jimmy Kimmel took a swipe at Donald Trump’s appearance and recent death rumours circulating online during his Tuesday evening monologue.

Kimmel, 57, has just come back to hosting his late night TV slot after a two-month summer holiday, and he came in all guns blazing.

The host showed two side-by-side photographs and said: “He has mysterious bruising on his hand, which they tried to cover up with makeup. This cover-up is even sloppier than the Epstein one. How could anyone let him go out like this?”

In July, Trump posted on Truth Social that Kimmel would be the ‘NEXT to go,’ following news that CBS was cancelling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

NEW YORK - OCTOBER 12: "Yes, And" Elsbeth dives into the world of late-night comedy when backstage tensions rise between a talk show host (Stephen Colbert), his head writer Laurel (Amy Sedaris) and her on-air sidekick husband, Mickey (Andy Richter). Also, Elsbeth meets a new police officer (Lindsay Mendez) who is an aspiring stand-up comic when off the clock, on the third season premiere of ELSBETH, Sunday, Oct. 12 (9:30-10:30 PM, ET/9:00-10:00 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount (live and on-demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. Original episodes of ELSBETH will return to their regular time slot (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) beginning on Thursday, Oct. 16.

“He had to have done that himself, right? ‘Looks great, sir. No one will notice a thing.'” The late-night presenter proceeded to reference the official explanation for the marks, a condition called chronic venous insufficiency, which the Trump campaign cited as the cause of both the bruising and ankle swelling.

“In layman’s terms,” Kimmel jested, “it means he’s got a very small venous. He’s got an insufficient venous.”, reports the Mirror US.

Throughout the segment, Kimmel also highlighted Trump’s Tuesday press conference, where the former president dismissed health concerns and insisted he “never felt better.”

That didn’t stop Kimmel from poking fun at his appearance. “Despite the fact that he looks like a pumpkin that got left in a hatchback on a hundred-degree day, he is definitely not dead,” Kimmel proclaimed.

The comedian then displayed a clip from the press conference, concentrating on Vice President JD Vance, who was positioned behind Trump during his address. “He’s the only one smiling,” Kimmel observed.

“Good old JD. He hears the words ‘Trump dead,’ he lights up like a Christmas tree.

“Here’s the thing,” Kimmel concluded. “Donald Trump will never die. Forget it. He’s like Dracula: he’s going to keep sucking the life out of us forever.”

The evening’s entertainment didn’t conclude there. During an unexpected twist in the same programme, actor Denzel Washington thrilled the audience with a spontaneous FaceTime call to Lenny Kravitz.

“He may not pick up. He may be working,” Washington remarked as he dialled. Kimmel interjected, “I hope he’s working out. I like to see him do some of those sit-ups.”

However, Kravitz, proving himself the reliable mate, responded immediately.

“Kravitz!” Washington exclaimed. “What’s up, boy? ! Wait a minute! I’m here with Jimmy.”

Washington rotated the camera to show Kimmel, who welcomed Kravitz with a smile and a wave.

“Hey Lenny, how ya doing?”

Washington subsequently directed the phone towards the enthusiastic studio crowd. “They’re all your fans, Lenny! You wanna do a song?” he joked.
