Limp Bizkit bassist Sam Rivers was found dead in his bathroom on 19 October as details of the 911 call made to medical dispatchers have been released

Limp Bizkit bassist Sam Rivers reportedly died in his bathroom.

TMZ have reportedly obtained the incident report from the rock star’s death and documents from St John’s County Sheriff’s Department include details from the 911 call.

The caller told officers that they’d found Sam face down in the bathroom in a pool of blood as they performed CPR.

The deputy also performed CPR when they arrived until St Johns County Fire Rescue arrived on the scene, where he was sadly pronounced dead. It was reported that he appeared to have a cut on his eye.

The official cause of Sam’s death at age 48 on 19 October 2025 has not yet been confirmed. Rivers was one of Limp Bizkit’s founding members and the nu metal band took to Instagram to share the tragic news.

They wrote: “In Loving Memory of Our Brother, Sam Rivers. Today we lost our brother. Our bandmate. Our heartbeat. Sam Rivers wasn’t just our bass player – he was pure magic. The pulse beneath every song, the calm in the chaos, the soul in the sound.”

“From the first note we ever played together, Sam brought a light and a rhythm that could never be replaced. His talent was effortless, his presence unforgettable, his heart enormous.”

The band said they’d “shared so many moments and every one of them meant more because Sam was there”. They branded him a “once in a lifetime kind of human” and a “legend of legends”.

Limp Bizkit closed the tribute by writing: “His spirit will live forever in every groove, every stage, every memory. We love you, Sam. We’ll carry you with us, always. Rest easy, brother. Your music never ends. – Fred, Wes, John and DJ Lethal.”
