London’s unmissable Halloween club nights, from Moxie to Malugi

Halloween weekend is almost here, and London’s club scene is pulling out all the stops. Whether you’re after bone-rattling basslines in Tottenham, sleek cocktails in Canary Wharf, or simply want to lose yourself on a dancefloor overlooking the Thames, the capital has your back.

From YouTube smash DJ Yousuke Yukimatsu to the infectious energy of Girls Don’t Sync, this weekend proves that the scariest thing would be staying home. Here’s where to dance until dawn.

Considered “the DJ of 2025”, Yousuke Yukimatsu is someone to catch as soon as you get the opportunity. He’ll be playing the mammoth Magazine London venue in Greenwich this Saturday, so you can party within dancing distance of the Thames. A DJ’s DJ — his peers consider him one of the best in the world — Yukimatsu is a master of the decks, unbound by genres. If you don’t believe me, believe YouTube: his 2022 Hör Berlin set racked up over two million views in less than 10 months, and his 2025 Boiler Room hit the two million view mark in just 10 days. Do what’s good for you and treat yourself to some Yousuke trickery this Halloween.

Sesh heads with an appetite for the spooky should kick off All Hallows’ Eve with one of the biggest selectors playing this weekend. German DJ Malugi, aka “the happiest man in dance music”, is heading to EartH this Friday, threatening the stylish Dalstonites with his unavoidably infectious energy. Known for upbeat, high-energy sets that veer into speed garage and UK-infused house, his presence marks an antidote to the creepier goings-on this weekend.

All-female DJ collective Girls Don’t Sync are pitching up at Archives in Tottenham this Halloween to spin the crowds into a trance. Comprising DJs Matty Chiabi, Sophia Violet, Hannah Lynch and G33, the group is currently riding a wave of popularity following the release of their debut EP, Code Orange, and the commencement of their tour. Oh, and they just had the honour of creating an Essential Mix for Radio 1, complete with a glowing intro from legendary DJ Pete Tong.

SOMA Canary Wharf, October 30

Looking for something a little more smooth and chic this Halloweekend? We’ve got you. Multi-disciplinary hospitality collective — sexier than it sounds, honestly — Close Ties are coming to a Canary Wharf speakeasy for their latest supper club-turned-actual-club event. Led by Joshua Bratt of The Barbary and Jake Norman of Trullo, Close Ties is as much about what you chew as what you gulp. But rest assured the gulping will be good too, as SOMA is known for its cocktails. And to make things even better, they’ve got Manchester-based DJ Willow on the decks.

Take it from me, London-based DJ and NTS resident Moxie, pictured at the top of the page, is responsible for some of the best back-to-back sets of British festival season 2025. Now there’s a chance to see her in the city on Halloween weekend, in a Brixton club with one of London’s best sound systems, instead of in some distant field. Ever the expert when it comes to bouncing off her boothmates, Moxie will be playing with up-and-comer Wallace, a fast-rising Scottish producer with a left-field sound that has been praised by the likes of Palms Trax and Hunee.

If you want what my less electronically-inclined friends call “music with lyrics”, my recommendation is to head to Drumsheds, where you’ll find Hounslow’s pirate radio group Kurupt FM, as well as Manc rap king Aitch. And yes, an absolute plethora of electronic music also happens to be taking place. Whoops, you got me! Highlights include the brilliant Yung Singh, who is playing with Flowdan, DJ AG aka the king of King’s Cross, German UKG prodigy Diffrent, and Mike Skinner on the decks. The Tottenham venue has also had a bit of a makeover, with improved access routes, a chillout area and improved sound systems, in case you haven’t been since the season started.
