Married At First Sight UK viewers will see the first dinner party of the new series tonight

Tensions are already running high on Married At First Sight UK, with one bride left in tears after a heated argument erupts.

The tenth series of the hit E4 show has brought together nine new couples, with 18 singles taking a chance on love by marrying a complete stranger. The latest series has already seen its fair share of awkward encounters and emotional moments, leaving viewers wondering which couples will make it last.

In last night’s episode (September 28), 54 year old Anita and 60 year old Paul tied the knot, but their honeymoon period was short-lived as Anita confided at the end of the episode: “I don’t know if there’s hope for the marriage, truthfully, I don’t think there is.”

The drama is set to intensify tonight (September 29) as MAFS UK airs at 9pm on E4, with the highly anticipated return of the first dinner party. A sneak preview shows one bride in tears after an explosive row, hinting at a tumultuous time ahead for the newlyweds.

In the preview, the voiceover teases: “Next time, our newly weds move in together. But for some couples, domestic harmony is short lived”, reports OK!.

As the couples gather for the first dinner party, tensions rise, with the voiceover adding: “At the first dinner party of the experiment…. it’s show time for Dean, but Sarah serves a scathing review.”

The preview also hints at romance blossoming for some, while others are on the verge of collapse: “And while some are falling head over heels, others are falling apart.”

The clip shows bride Sarah facing criticism from the experts after likening her husband Dean to a “care bear”, with the experts remarking: “That’s not a very hot thing to say about your partner.”

As a preview of the dinner party, 54 year old Anita can be seen walking in unaccompanied, after she has admitted previously that it’s “crunch time” for her.

Things continue to flourish between married couples Davide and Keye, Steven and Neelima, and Maeve and Joe, as they are seen showing off their affections, their relationships solidifying. However, heartbreak looms for one of the newlywed brides who can’t contain her tears and sits alone with her head in her hands.

Professional dancer Julia-Ruth had married musician Divarni, and while they initially appeared happy on their wedding day, things have taken a downhill turn on their honeymoon.

A heated exchange can be witnessed between the couple at the dinner party, where Julia-Ruth criticises Divarni, telling him: “You are very negative” as she fights back her tears.

A subsequent clip has Julia-Ruth sitting alone, her head in her hands and her back to the camera, tears streaming down her face.

She states: “I just wanted someone genuine.” Fans will have to tune in tonight to find out what happens next.

Married At First Sight UK airs Sunday to Thursday at 9pm on E4
