Alisson’s wife Natalia Becker has been married to the Liverpool goalkeeper since 2015, but was recently forced to hit the headlines for a reason outside of her control

Alisson’s wife Natalia Loewe Becker is a medical professional, but also well-versed in mocking Blues.

The Liverpool goalkeeper, who despite his injury woes will be celebrating his 33rd birthday today (October 2) with the help of his wife, has been married to Natalia for a decade. While she leads a life largely out of the spotlight, unlike other footballer’s partners, she was forced to address a case of mistaken identity in June last year.

The incident happened when someone sharing her name was allegedly questioned by authorities regarding a fatality linked to a chemical skin treatment at a South American clinic.

“I’m not the ‘Natalia Becker’ on the aesthetic clinic news,” Becker explained. “It’s someone else having the same first and last name. Nothing related.” It’s an odd and unwelcome spotlight for Alisson’s spouse, who has been working in the medical world for years.

The 33-year-old completed her medical degree (specialising in paediatrics) at the Catholic University of Pelotas in her home country of Brazil, before relocating to join Alisson in Rome five months after finishing her studies. The shot-stopper, who shares strong Christian beliefs with his wife, has publicly backed his partner’s professional pursuits.

“My wife Natalia left Brazil five months after graduating to be with me,” he previously told Sportweek, via the ECHO.

“That meant a lot to me. I enjoyed supporting her while she was finishing her studies at university. I guess that made me a bit different to other footballers. And, if you don’t feel well, it’s better to be living with a doctor than a model.”

It remains uncertain whether Becker has continued her medical practice in Rome and subsequently Liverpool.

However, one fact is certain: she and Alisson are proud parents to Helena, Matteo and Rafael, born between 2017 and 2021. The two lads are bona fide Scousers, having been born after their father’s high-profile transfer.

Natalia frequently shares glimpses of her children on Instagram. Her latest post showcased a Sonic-themed birthday bash for her two boys, while Helena was recently seen enjoying her seventh birthday with a ‘pamper party’.

The entire family also posed for snaps at Wembley during the friendly match between England and Brazil last year.

Becker is also an avid reader. A compilation of her saved Instagram Stories reveals some of the books she has delved into since 2018, with a variety of religious titles and other non-fiction works featuring heavily.

She also loves poking fun at Liverpool’s Merseyside rivals, laughing at her partner’s attempts to boil Everton blood when he dived down on the ball in his box near the end of the Reds’ 2-0 win at Anfield in April 2022, mimicking what his opposite number had done in the first half.

Pickford was taking as much time as possible when he had the ball in his possession with the Toffees looking to escape Anfield with a result. So Alisson hit back with some time-wasting of his own with his side cruising to a 2-0 victory.

A clip of the moment went viral online, with Natalia Becker tweeting “Alisson” with a laughing and a love heart emoji on a day which very much belonged to the red half of the city.
