Molly-Mae Hague’s Love Island audition tape has been unearthed as she makes a candid admission

Molly-Mae Hague has made a candid confession in her resurfaced Love Island audition tapes.

Her rise to fame began with a bang after her appearance on ITV2’s Love Island in 2019, where she was joined by an array of recognisable faces, including winners Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea, as well as contestants Amy Hart, Maura Higgins, and Curtis Pritchard.

Although tipped to win by bookmakers at the time, Molly-Mae ultimately came in second with her partner Tommy Fury, with whom she has remained in a highly publicised relationship ever since.

During their time on the show, fans will recall that the couple had a fair share of ups and downs before officially becoming boyfriend and girlfriend.

Now, with her audition tapes being resurfaced, Molly-Mae reveals that she was once told she was simply “too much to handle”, reports OK!.

In the unearthed footage, Molly-Mae can be seen speaking to the camera, her hair tied up in a bun, saying: “The last guy that I was with literally told me I was too much for him to handle, whatever too much actually means.”

The Love Island YouTube account shared the clip earlier this year, saying: “You said roll the tapes… and we delivered. In honour of 10 years of love, take a look at never seen before audition tapes from some of the most iconic people to enter the Villa!”.

They teased clips featuring an array of familiar faces, including Chris Hughes, Molly-Mae Hague, Maura Higgins, Dani Dyer, and Whitney Adebayo.

One fan commented: “Aww, they were only babies back then.” Another fan echoed: “Very nostalgic.”

Since leaving the villa, Molly Mae’s star has continued to soar, with the reality TV personality becoming the creative director of Pretty Little Thing and starring in her own documentary series.

As one half of one of television’s most high-profile couples, Molly and her partner Tommy welcomed their daughter Bambi in 2023, but their relationship has not been without its challenges.

The pair appeared to have gone their separate ways before announcing earlier this year that they were giving their romance another chance.

Now, the former Love Island contestant is once again giving fans a glimpse into her glamorous life with the release of a new season of her popular documentary series.

The second season of Molly Mae: Behind It All premiered on Prime Video on October 18 and promises to cover everything from her public relationship to her experiences as a new mother.

The first three episodes of the series are now available to stream, with a synopsis revealing: “With exclusive access, Molly embarks on an exciting new chapter as she takes her business empire to the next level while navigating the challenges of motherhood under the scrutiny of millions.”

It adds: “Raw, relatable, and inspiring, this series reveals the insecurities and hopes of a young mum balancing fame and family.”
