Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of two bodies at a domestic residence in Finglas, Dublin, earlier today, and now a probe has been launched

An investigation has been launched by the Gardaí into a suspected murder-suicide following the discovery of two bodies at a property in Co Dublin.

The bodies of a man and a young girl were found at a house in the Heathfield estate in the Cappagh area of Finglas, north Dublin, around 8pm on Saturday evening. The scene has been preserved for the Garda Technical Bureau to conduct a forensic examination.

The bodies are still at the scene awaiting preliminary technical examination, after which they will be removed for post-mortem examination in due course, reports Dublin Live. The Coroner has been informed and the services of the Office of the State Pathologist have also been requested by the gardai.
