Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban ‘split after nearly two decades together’

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have reportedly split after nearly two decades together, with the couple said to have been living apart for months due to conflicting work schedules

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have reportedly called time on their relationship after nearly two decades as a couple.

After months of living separate lives due to clashing work commitments, the 58 year old actress and the 57 year old musician are said to have ended things following their 2006 marriage and welcoming two daughters together.

Sources revealed to the Daily Mail that Nicole was caught completely off guard by the breakdown of their relationship. One insider revealed: “Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming or he is on tour. There was a lot of love between the two and they might not divorce, but there is a world that they both live where neither of them are in it.

“Keith and Nicole have been together for decades and there is a world which they can reconcile, but the way their pairing is now, it is not a couple.”

The pair share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Nicole was previously wed to Tom Cruise between 1990 and 2001, during which time they adopted two children.

The couple were last snapped together at the Academy of Country Music Awards in May 2025, where they put on a loved-up display on the red carpet. They were also spotted at a football match in Nashville during June.

In recent months, Nicole has been stationed in London whilst shooting a follow-up to Practical Magic.

She’s been residing in a Hampstead property previously owned by Boy George, allegedly shelling out $87,288 monthly for the residence. According to Woman’s Day, she has settled in “comfortably” at the property whilst Keith presses on with his High and Alive tour spanning the US and Canada, which is set to continue through to October.

An insider revealed to the publication: “They do make an effort to speak every day when they’re apart, but it’s shocking how much time they’ve spent apart since Nicole’s mother died last September. It’s like they both went their separate ways. Now she’s getting comfortable in a dream home in London on the other side of the world.”

Back in July, Keith stormed out of a radio interview when quizzed about Nicole’s racy scenes in films such as Babygirl and A Family Affair.

In September 2024, when discussing her marriage in relation to her Netflix series The Perfect Couple, Nicole told E! News that “there’s no perfect anything”. She remarked: “Anything that’s presented as perfect… forget it.”

Earlier in 2024, whilst chatting to People magazine, Nicole opened up about her bond with Keith: “I’m so lucky that I have Keith who’s just my love, my deep, deep love. I’m so lucky that I have Keith… that gives me the ability to go and do whatever I have to do because I know where I can come back.”
