A recent poll has revealed the top 30 things that suggest you have your life together – and it’s more than just having a to do list.

Research suggests that the top signs of having your life in order include maintaining spotless cupboards, never forgetting a birthday, and managing your email inbox effectively. But just how sorted is your life? Are you a smooth operator or a freestyler? Take this new quiz to find out.

A survey of 2,000 adults said promptly putting away laundry once it’s dry as a key sign of having your life together, while a third believe those who batch cook have got it all figured out. For 43 per cent, having important documents neatly filed and easily accessible is also indicative of an organised life.

Luisa Beck, from Cricut, the smart cutting machine that helps organise life with custom projects, which commissioned the research and created the quiz, said: “When life feels organised, everything else seems to flow more smoothly.

“Even simple solutions like tidying away paperwork, planning meals in advance or keeping track of birthdays can have a big impact on how in control people feel.

“Having your life together isn’t just about neat cupboards – it’s about giving yourself peace of mind and freeing up headspace. And when people achieve that, they often feel calmer, happier, and better able to focus on the things that really matter.”

Eight out of ten consider themselves organised, with 53 per cent confessing they feel much more in control when they’re on top of things.

But how organised are you? Take this quiz to find out.

Nearly half revealed they make the effort to stay organised because they despise feeling hurried or prefer their environment to be spick and span. Three quarters also stated that being organised actually helps them save cash.

For 55 per cent, staying organised prevents them from missing scheduled payments, while planning meals in advance helps them to reduce food wastage.

Keeping on top of things also helps many unlock their creative side, with 55 per cent attributing being organised to giving them the freedom to be more inventive.

Among these respondents, 57 per cent claim it provides extra time for clear thinking, whilst 54 per cent feel more relaxed and prepared to be creative, the OnePoll survey revealed.

An additional 35 per cent are actively seeking imaginative solutions to simplify domestic life – from transforming jars and ladders into ingenious storage options, to creating homemade furniture.

What’s more, 27 per cent have come up with their own personalised organisation systems, and 14 per cent even colour-code their belongings to keep everything in order.

Luisa Beck, from Cricut, added: “Organisation and creativity go hand in hand. When you’ve got your home and routines under control, you free up both time and energy to try new things – whether that’s making, crafting, or simply running your household more efficiently.

“It gives people the space to think differently and find smart solutions to everyday challenges. Ultimately, being organised isn’t restrictive – it’s the foundation that lets creativity thrive.”
