'While mandatory reimbursement rules mean scam victims are less likely to lose their money, regulators must closely monitor firms and be ready to take tough action against any that don't follow the rules. 'Regulators and the government need to get tough with all weak links in the fight against fraud, sending a clear message that such lax approaches won't be tolerated.' A Revolut spokesman says: 'Each potential fraud case concerning a Revolut customer is carefully investigated and assessed independently of other cases. 'Revolut takes fraud and the industry-wide risk of customers being coerced by organised criminals, incredibly seriously.
