Luke Donald’s ruthless defending champions have produced a stunning and dominant two days so far at Bethpage Black, defying their status as clear underdogs to close in on a rare away triumph.

The visitors need just three more points to win the Ryder Cup again outright, and as such captain Donald has gone with many of his form players early on Sunday against a reeling Team USA staring at a potentially humiliating defeat on home soil.

The locked-in Justin Rose leads off against Cameron Young, followed by Tommy Fleetwood looking to keep up his remarkable run against Justin Thomas.

Ludvig Aberg gets a meeting with Patrick Cantlay, with Jon Rahm facing Xander Schauffele and Sepp Straka taking on JJ Spaun.

Shane Lowry meets world No3 Russell Henley, while two Ryder Cup rookies go head to head in Ben Griffin and Rasmus Hojgaard.

Tyrrell Hatton will fancy his chances against Collin Morikawa, with Robert MacIntyre playing Sam Burns before Viktor Hovland battles Harris English, provided the Norwegian is able to take the course after a neck injury that will require a scan after he was withdrawn late from fourballs action on Saturday afternoon.
