Rylan Clark has gone public with his new man.
The ITV star who hosts This Morning recently revealed he is in a new relationship. It was reported Rylan’s new romance is with 47-year-old Kennedy Bates, who is 11 years his senior.
And now the former X Factor star has gone Instagram official with the hunk, who is part of a successful family funfair business, Billy Bates and Sons. Rylan, 36, took to the platform with snaps from their romantic trip to Florence in Italy.
One loved-up pic showed Rylan and Kennedy enjoying a glass of vino while looking through a wine window, called a buchette del vino. A black and white snap saw the pair holding hands.
Rylan gushed over his beau in the caption of the post, which included other sightseeing pics. He wrote: “A few days in florence with you.
“Popped into see Elizabeth and thank her for being part of our grand tour and had to see the Artemisia Gentileschi and thank her for being part of the bafta . A beautiful few days x”. Kennedy himself wrote in the comments: “Wish we were still there.”
Rylan was inundated with support for his new relationship from his famous friends and fans who were delighted to see him find romance again after his split. One wrote: “I’m so genuinely happy for you and Kennedy. You both deserve every bit of happiness together, and it’s so lovely to see. Wishing you nothing but the best on this journey.”
Another commented: “So happy for you both.” A third said: “This makes me happy to see you so happy.”
On his podcast How To Be In Love, Rylan let slip some details about his new relationship, admitting he and his boyfriend have discussed having children together. He told his guest, interviewer Louis Theroux: “I’m loving what I’ve got at the minute and I want to keep it that way.”
When Louis later asked the star if the new couple were thinking about children, Rylan said: “Yeah, I want kids. He wants kids.”
Rylan also addressed the rumours about him having a romance with his longtime friend Rob Rinder, adding: “Like, so many people keep asking, everyone keeps asking me – because there’s all these fake news stories about me and Rob Rinder – we’ve gotten married and all of this. Rob’s my friend.
“I adore him, and Rob and Rylan’s just about to come out again, our passage to India, and I just thought, ‘Let’s just put the record straight’.” The former X Factor star didn’t name Kennedy, but said he was “very content” with his partner.
