Grennan also used to live here, with his ex-girlfriend. In fact, she still does. The couple split in summer 2019, and he moved out, first to Shoreditch, then to his parents’ place in Bedford for lockdown, then more recently to Belsize Park. But the memories, good and bad, linger. Nowhere is this more starkly apparent than on his new album: it’s called Evering Road.
