Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left worried after they noticed Ellie Goldstein appeared to be “upset” as she was comforted by her co-stars
Strictly Come Dancing’s Ellie Goldstein has sparked worry among fans after the visibly “upset” star was seen being consoled by her fellow contestants.
The 23-year-old model and her professional partner with Vito Coppola made their live performance debut on Saturday (September 27) night.
The pair graced the renowned dance floor with a Cha Cha Cha routine to Ariana Grande’s ‘yes, and?’ earning a score of 17/40. Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas each awarded them four points, while Anton Du Beke gave them five.
Later in the programme, as host Claudia Winkleman chatted with La Voix and Aljaž Škorjanec about their performance, Ellie was spotted receiving comfort from professional dancers Dianne Buswell, Karen Hauer and celebrity contestant Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, reports Wales Online.
Viewers quickly took to social media to express their concern after noticing Ellie seemed “upset”. One fan wrote on X, previously known as Twitter: “I hope Ellie is okay. She looked a little upset just now. #Strictly.
Another added: “Ellie looks a bit upset so it’s lovely to see Harry and Karen comforting her #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing.”
A third person shared: “I hope Ellie is ok bless her #Strictly.” Another fan noted: “Love how Dianne, Vito, Harry and Karen are with Ellie! #Strictly.”
A fifth viewer observed: “Ellie looked quite uncomfortable just now, but was impressed by how caring and comforting the Strictly dancers were being with her. That’s wonderful to see. #Strictly.”
After their routine, judge Motsi revealed that Ellie and Vito’s performance had boosted her spirits, though she encouraged the model to maintain contact with the floor for added “strength”.
Head judge Shirley also highlighted timing problems throughout the routine, but praised Ellie’s “body rhythm”, before gifting her with a fan decorated with the word ‘fabulous’.
However, it was Ellie’s response to Craig that sent Strictly fans rushing to social media.
