ITV star Ross King is set to take to the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom with pro dance partner Jowita Przystal this weekend, but it’s bad news for the TV presenter

It’s not looking good for Strictly star Ross King.

The ITV star, who delivers showbiz segments on Lorraine Kelly’s show, is set to take to the dancefloor with his pro partner Jowita Przystal this weekend. However, the bookies believe he could be the next celeb to get the boot.

According to Coral, Ross is the odds-on favourite to be eliminated from the BBC show this weekend. His odds are currently at 4-6, ahead of Apprentice star Thomas Skinner at 5-2 and rugby hunk Chris Robshaw at 4-1.

Hill said: “Our betting suggests this weekend’s dance-off could be between Ross King and Thomas Skinner, with the former departing at the end of it,” said Coral’s John Hill. They believe influencer George Clarke is the favourite to win the show.

“George Clarke tops the outright betting for the Glitterball Trophy,” they added. “But we are also seeing strong support for Karen Carney and Vicky Pattison, so it could be one the most open years for some time.”

Ross unfortunately became the second lowest scoring contestant in Strictly last weekend. He and Jowita danced a cha cha but earned just two points each from judges Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas, with Motsi Mabuse and Anton du Beke both giving them three.

The duo will perform a waltz to The proclaimer’s much-loved song Sunshine on Leith. It’s fitting, given King’s Scottish heritage.

Ross gushed over Jowita during a chat with his pal Lorraine, revealing how kind she’s been to him and that his late father would have loved her. “She was the first professional [I met].

“She came up and she gave me a big hug, she was so lovely. And she also made sure that we did the last dance, you know when you do the speed dancing thing, and that was it,” Ross recounted.

“Can I also just say, you knew my dad, and dad would always say, ‘You can judge a person by how they treat the waiter’. And this young lady is just an absolute joy.

“The crews love her, everyone loves her because she is just beautiful inside and out. She’s just that lovely person, and so my dad would be like, ‘How lovely.'”

Lorraine responded: “Your dad would be so happy, and your mum would be so happy, my goodness me.”
