Worthing: Teenager stabbed on seafront in front of public as police launch manhunt
A frantic manhunt is in progress after a teenager was stabbed on the seafront in front of shocked onlookers.
Sussex Police were called to Marine Parade in Worthing around 1:17pm this afternoon following reports of three teenagers, one armed with a knife, pursuing another teen.
An 18 year old lad was cared for by bystanders before being taken to hospital with a hand injury.
The three suspects, described as white and donned in black hoodies, fled west along Marine Parade.
Officers rushed to the scene, and locals were warned to expect an increased police presence in the area tonight.
Investigations are ongoing.
Neil Walker, from Worthing CID, stated:
“We’re in the very early stages of our investigation and are urging anyone with any information to please come forward.”, reports the Mirror.
