A good Black Friday sale offers the ideal opportunity to stock up on kitchen necessities – the ones you forget about until you’re midway through a penne alla vodka recipe, only to remember you actually can’t open your can of tomato sauce because you forgot to replace your dying university-era can opener. And, of course, a really good Black Friday sale can mean a total bargain on an investment piece of cookware you’ll use forever and ever.
As a home and kitchen shopping writer, I’ve spent almost three years perusing these Black Friday sales. I’ve sat for hours in a test kitchen with a small army of blenders and sauce pans. I’ve chatted with cooks and food experts about their favorite picks. So I’ve tracked enough holiday sales over the years to know when a “deal” is just a regular price in a festive hat.
Black Friday hasn’t officially begun yet, but you can already shop a few of the early best Black Friday kitchen deals. You won’t see those doorbuster deals on big-ticket items until Black Friday itself, but that doesn’t mean you can’t buy that can opener, and besides, $100 off on a Staub Dutch oven isn’t shabby. If you’re set on scoring your blender for even more off, keep checking back here – we’ll continue updating this page as we get closer to the sales bonanza.
How I selected these Black Friday deals
I focused on the creme de la creme of kitchenware deals – the absolute must-haves from trusted brands marked down to what I’d consider “drop everything you’re doing and buy right now” prices. I started with products I’ve used and tested, then other products from brands I’m familiar with. I also considered small kitchen necessities that’d make for practical purchases at a discounted rate for you to take advantage of.
The best of the best
Staub Dutch Oven
When it comes to Dutch ovens, there are really only two options: Staub and Le Creuset. Both French cookware brands make the best when it comes to Dutch ovens, and you can buy both right now on sale. I’ve highlighted the Staub as “the best” just because the sale is a little better, but you can’t go wrong with either – scroll down for a deal on the other brand. A Staub or Le Creuset Dutch oven is the type of investment that’ll last you for years to come. Snagging that sort of investment at a discount? Unbeatable. Make sure you pay attention to the color and size you buy – the sale only applies to the four-quart in select colors.
Vitamix Explorian Blender
Speaking of “unbeatable”, Vitamix reigns supreme in the blender category, and the brand’s Explorian model is currently on sale. Note: this isn’t through Vitamix directly, but rather through Amazon’s Renewed Store, though Vitamix will likely mark down its models closer to Black Friday. Still, a Vitamix is like the Cadillac of blenders, so any deal is a good deal on these bad boys.
Material Grippy reBoard
Eco-friendly kitchenware brand Material is currently offering up to 35% off sitewide. I’d recommend using this deal to your advantage to snag the retailer’s grippy reBoard. Material uses recycled kitchen scraps and renewable sugarcane to make its cutting board, but that’s not the only reason I’d recommend it. The grippy reBoard stands up well to use, stays put thanks to silicone-covered corners, and features this nifty little circle in one corner for hanging up or even sliding all your chopped-up onions through.
Yeti Hopper Flip 8 Portable Soft Cooler
Yeti hardly ever marks down its products, which is exactly what makes this particular sale one you won’t want to miss. It’s only on the Firefly Yellow color, but Yeti’s a standout for coolers for a reason: they’re indestructible and keep things cold for days. I was happy to suck up not getting a color of choice in lieu of getting 20% off.
Zulay Fish Spatula
A regular spatula’s great, but real pros use a fish spatula. It’s longer, more versatile, easier to wield, and super affordable – even more so thanks to this early Black Friday discount. Take advantage of this sale and earn yourself some cooking street cred among the real chefs.
The best cookware deals
Le Creuset Dutch Oven
As previously mentioned, you can’t get much better than a Staub or Le Creuset when it comes to Dutch ovens. A Le Creuset is a little rounder, including the handles – which can often make them slightly easier to grip. The only reason this didn’t get a top deal spot was because the sale on the Staub was a little better, but that doesn’t make this 17% off any less worthwhile.
Le Creuset French Oven
A French oven isn’t necessarily a must the same way a Dutch oven is – but this smaller, UFO-esque piece of ceramic enamel cookware is a great option for small apartment dwellers who just don’t have the space for a big, hulking pot. It’s the ideal capacity when cooking for one, and it’s currently more than $100 off.
All-Clad D5 Stainless-Steel 7-Piece Cookware Set
Don’t let the sticker shock scare you off. This set is basically your Swiss Army knife of cooking, and includes every stainless steel pot or pan you absolutely need for the rest of your life. Not to mention All-Clad’s the best of the best when it comes to stainless steel. These are sturdy pieces that consistently perform well, making them the ideal set to purchase at a discounted rate.

Le Creuset Cocotte
If you’re not quite ready to invest in a Dutch oven, much less a Le Creuset Dutch oven, try out one of the heritage French cookware brand’s small cocottes. You can use these for roasting garlic, serving dips and small batches of soup, or even making baked eggs. They’re already a pretty affordable piece of mini cookware, made even more so with an early Black Friday discount. Get a few for yourself or to use as stocking stuffers.
Staub Pumpkin Cocotte
The Staub v Le Creuset discourse continues with Staub’s pumpkin-shaped take on the cocotte. This version is great if you want something a little more whimsical that you can take out for entertaining. It’s a little more expensive, though that’s offset by 41% off.
GreenPan Valencia Pro Ceramic Nonstick Frypan
There’s a lot of confusing information out there about nonstick and ceramic nonstick pans. Generally, it’s recommended to use pure ceramic pans. But if you’ve really got your heart set on nonstick, GreenPan offers a safe option. Its frypan, currently $30 off on the brand’s website, doesn’t use any potentially harmful chemicals such as PFAS, PFOA, lead or cadmium.
The best kitchen appliance deals
All-Clad Immersion Blender
You’ll want an immersion blender, or handheld blender, if you just don’t have enough space for a full blender. While you likely won’t be making many smoothies with this, it is great for home cooks blending soups or sauces directly in a pot. Though All-Clad’s known for its quality stainless steel, it also makes a few reliable kitchen appliances – including an immersion blender that’s currently $30 off (though it might go even lower closer to Black Friday).
Dash Mini Waffle Maker
While you’re not going to be hosting a brunch party with this mini waffle maker, it’s great for college students or fresh grads living in their first apartment. You can make just enough waffles to satisfy your craving without making a huge mess. Plus it works pretty well despite its small size.
The best kitchen necessities deals
Preston Lane Luxury Hand Wash
You can never have too much hand soap pre-stocked and in your cabinets, because there’s nothing worse than turning around to wash your egg-yolk-covered hands, only to find you’re fresh out of soap. This handwash from Preston Line, the homewares line launched by a Ralph Lauren alumnus, smells lovely and is made using organic oils.
Nordic Ware 3-Piece Sheet Pan Set
Everyone needs a sheet pan. You can use it for baking cookies, easy fridge-clean-out sheet pan meals, and even sheet pan cake. Sheet pans don’t get super pricey, and a sales event like Black Friday makes them even more affordable. You can’t go wrong with Nordic Ware, and you can get three right now for just $33.
Kuhn Knife Set
If you’re a regular home cook, along with a chef’s knife, you definitely need serrated and paring knives. They don’t need to be anything fancy (though you certainly can splurge on something nicer). This set of two from Kuhn should do, especially at under $20.
