A search is underway for the owner of the item found at Palm Beach International Airport, ‘with line of sight’ pointed directly at the door where Trump exits the plane
Fears of another assassination attempt on US President Donald Trump are growing after a bizarre find was made near his Air Force One plane. According to the FBI, a hunting stand “with line of sight” pointed directly at the door where Trump exits the plane from has been found in a tree.
For the unaware, a hunting stand is a platform erected in a tree, covered in camouflage, used by hunters to stalk their pray.
And while no individual was found near the item at Palm Beach International Airport, an investigation is now underway to try to track down the owner.
It is believed that the item was “set up months ago,” and FBI director Kash Patel said: “Prior to the President’s return to West Palm Beach, USSS (United States’ Secret Service) discovered what appeared to be an elevated hunting stand within sight line of the Air Force One landing zone.
“No individuals were located at the scene. The FBI has since taken the investigatory lead, flying in resources to collect all evidence from the scene, and deploying our cell phone analytics capabilities.”
And USSS chief of communications Anthony Guglielmi said: “There was no impact to any movements, and no individuals were present or involved at the location.
“While we are not able to provide details about the specific items or their intent, this incident underscores the importance of our layered security measures.”
The news comes just hours after a US politician accused Donald Trump ’s deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller of taking advantage of the President’s “diminished capacity”.
The Governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker, was speaking on The Bulwark podcast when he slammed the President and claimed that Miller was abusing and enabling Trump.
Speaking to the podcast’s anchor Tim Miller about Trump’s ongoing campaign to round up and deport illegal immigrants, the Democrat said: “I do think he needs help. And I don’t think anybody around him on a day-to-day basis wants to get him any help because they have more power based upon his diminished capacity.”
Pritzker then argued that Stephen Miller “clearly is the one pushing the tactics” at the Department of Homeland Security at Customs and Border Protection at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
He said: “He’s clearly the person that is aiming to have Donald Trump become an authoritarian leader.
“And I wish that, you know, people could at least recognize that Stephen Miller is bad for the country, and he is abusing the fact that Donald Trump has diminished capacity.”
