A US fashion giant will open two stores in England and one in Scotland, with the first store set to open in Liverpool on November 5, followed by Glasgow on November 12 and Manchester on November 26
Anthropologie has announced it’s preparing to launch three brand new stores across the UK next month. The American fashion retailer will unveil two outlets in England and one in Scotland.
Breaking the news on TikTok, the brand’s European team revealed in the caption: “3 new stores opening this November.” They also featured in the video, encouraging followers to keep watching for further announcements as the launch dates draw near. The post disclosed that shoppers can anticipate a fresh store in Glasgow, Liverpool and Manchester, reports the Mirror.
The opening dates are spread throughout November, with the team enthusiastically revealing: “Think goodie-bags, gifts with purchases over £50, festive hot drinks and all the pampering. I’m talking nail art, a blow dry bar and personalised goodies.”
Planning to mark the announcement in authentic “Anthro-style”, reports suggest the inaugural store will launch in Liverpool on November 5.
Glasgow is scheduled to follow with an opening date of November 12, while the Manchester branch is due to welcome customers on November 26, according to Drapersonline.
The publication also revealed that each location will stock the fashion brand’s homeware and accessories ranges, alongside clothing from their own-label collections including Pilcro, Daily Practice and Maeve.
With the launch dates merely weeks away, it presents the perfect opportunity to secure Christmas presents.
In other fashion news, Glasgow celebrated the opening of its first UNIQLO store on October 2. Meanwhile, Manchester is set to welcome back Europe’s largest shoe retailer, Deichmann’s, which will re-open its doors at Manchester Arndale on October 27.
While Anthropologie’s new openings is good news for the high street, the closure of a number of branches of another high street giant is indicative retail is still an industry in peril.
One of Britain’s most popular shoe chains Schuh is shutting down and has launched a huge “final clearance” sale to get rid of its stock. Shoppers will have just a matter of hours to get their favourite items at a cheap price before they are gone forever.
Schuh has been hit hard by drops in footfall on the high street, prompting many of its shops to close down. Now, the next high street shop it owns is to shut up shop for good as it struggles to stay afloat.
The shop announced that it would be closing down for good on Saturday, October 18, and a huge sale is now ongoing. However, the chain said that there will be other shops nearby that can serve customers as and when they need it.
The Sun reports that the branch of Schuh located within the Eden Shopping Centre in Buckinghamshire is set to officially close its doors later today. This was confirmed by the company, who put notices and posters revealing they would be closing down, with shoppers told to get deals while they can.
