One lucky F1 fan has been given the sport’s first-ever season ticket after he went viral on social media documenting his journey attending all 24 races on a shoestring budget

One lucky Formula 1 fan has bagged the sport’s first season ticket ever created.

Brandon Burgess has become an internet sensation this year after setting himself the mammoth challenge of attending all 24 races on a shoestring budget whilst juggling his full-time job, making the most of just 28 days of annual leave.

Burgess has gone to extraordinary lengths to travel as cheaply as possible, beginning with a modest budget of just £20,000 to globe-trot with the F1 circus. His adventures have earned him social media fame, where he documents his brilliant quest.

His challenge has also caught the eye of F1 sponsor Heineken, who have moved to ease the financial burden for next year. Courtesy of the Dutch brewing giant, Burgess has become the first fan to own a season ticket for F1.

He and a mate will now get entry to all 24 events in the 2026 season merely by flashing the special black carbon fibre card he’s been handed. His travel and hotel costs are also sorted, meaning he won’t have to fork out a penny to witness all the drama up close.

“Attending every F1 race in a single year has always been my dream,” said Burgess. “It’s been a crazy challenge – juggling my full-time job and being on a limited budget meant that I’ve had to make some sacrifices such as only visiting some countries for 24 hours, and attending races alone.

“But it has enabled me to connect with fans all over the world – many of whom I still chat to. I never thought that when I started documenting my journey at the beginning of the year that so many people would be following along.

“And now to be recognised by a brand like Heineken and be the holder of the world’s first season ticket for F1 races is absolutely mind-blowing. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime and I can’t wait to take this journey even further next year and share the experience with other fans.”

This exclusive season ticket isn’t available to buy, but additional chances will occur for fans to get their hands on one of these sought-after cards. Max Verstappen presented the first-ever ticket to Burgess, with Heineken revealing plans to select another lucky fan next year who will get the golden opportunity to follow the entire 2027 season.

Heineken, a long-standing supporter of F1 for ten years, has recently signed a new multi-year deal with the sport. They also sponsor five different races, having renewed their China and Las Vegas contracts and added new sponsorships for the Grands Prix in Brazil, Madrid and Silverstone for the 2026 season.

The company is particularly keen to promote its alcohol-free range, with a statement from the firm asserting: “Heineken will continue to use F1’s global platform to provide messaging around responsible consumption and promote Heineken 0.0 – a premium zero-alcohol product – as part of their responsible drinking programme.”
