The F1 title race is preparing for a grandstand finish, with Sao Paulo the next stop on the

McLaren’s Lando Norris leads team-mate Oscar Piastri by a point in the drivers’ standings with four rounds, including Sunday’s Sao Paulo Grand Prix and Saturday sprint, remaining.

The team have already won the constructors’ title for the second year in a row but have not won both championships in the same year since 1998.

Verstappen, chasing his fifth title in a row, is 36 points off the pace and closing in after slashing the gap from 104 at the end of August, while McLaren’s pair have taken points off each other.

Verstappen’s return to contention has reminded some of the 2007 season won by Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen, who finished strongly and ended up beating McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso by one point.

When is the Brazilian Grand Prix?

The 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix takes place on Sunday, November 9 at the Interlagos Circuit in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The sole practice session took place on Friday after the qualifying for the sprint race.

The sprint race is scheduled for 2pm GMT, followed by qualifying for the grand prix at 6pm.

Lights out at the grand prix is schedule for 5pm GMT.

How to watch the Brazilian Grand Prix

TV channel: Every session from the Brazlian Grand Prix is available to watch live in the UK on Sky Sports’ dedicated F1 channel. Coverage of Grand Prix Sunday begins from 3.30pm.

Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers can also watch the Brazilian Grand Prix live online via the Sky Go app. It is also available to stream via NOW.

Free highlights: Channel 4 will show free-to-air highlights of the race at 10.15pm on Sunday evening.

Brazilian Grand Prix weather forecast

Sao Paulo has enjoyed blistering temperatures in the days leading up to the weekend.

But rain and a possible thunderstorm on Saturday should see cooler climes comes lights out on Sunday, with predicted temperatures of low 20C.
