Jammie Booker, who was crowned the World’s Strongest Woman 2025, has been stripped of her title after explicit images from her past life as an adult film star surfaced
The ‘World’s Strongest Woman’ has been stripped of the prestigious title after “very explicit” pictures showed she was “born a man”.
Jammie Booker, 28, won the bodybuilding competition but was forced to hand the prize over to her rival after images from her past life as a trans woman adult star surfaced. Booker was disqualified on Tuesday a day before the photos emerged.
Official rules for strongwoman competitions are changing rapidly, but many now require athletes to compete in the category of the sex they were assigned at birth, rather than their current gender identity. Booker’s past as a hardcore adult movie star was leaked online, after eagle-eyed internet sleuths dug up her X-rated alter ego “Jammie Jay” on adult film sites.
One of the tamer snaps shows the American lifter, described by critics as a “biological male”, posing in bright red lipstick and clutching her chest, the New York Post reported.
The athlete’s adult profile, listed on the Internet Adult Film Database, reportedly features explicit adult films and even boasts nominations at the Trans Erotica Awards in 2020 and 2022. Just days after claiming the World’s Strongest Woman title, Booker was consequently stripped of her crown and the prize handed to British champ Andrea Thompson.
“Very explicit pictures and videos of this person, which then obviously put her gender into question,” Thompson told the Daily Mail. It’s still unclear when Booker transitioned, and she’s yet to break her silence on the porn star’s past or her gender.
In the UK, the issue of trans women competing in sport is complex, with some governing bodies banning transgender women from competing in female categories (like UK Athletics, British Cycling, and World Rugby) while others allow it under certain conditions, such as testosterone suppression (like the English Football Association).
These policies often aim to balance fairness and inclusion, with different approaches taken across various sports and levels of competition, from elite to grassroots.
Moreover, a controversial Supreme Court ruling in April 2025 has provided legal interpretation of “sex” under the Equality Act 2010, which is expected to influence future policy for sports organisations. Many figures renowned in UK sports have since expressed support for inclusion of trans people.
For instance, decorated football player Leah Williamson has publicly supported trans inclusion in sport and has advocated for a more inclusive environment, stating in a social media post from July 2025 that, “Trans women are women”.
