Write for VerveScope: Share Your Voice with Our Global Community

At VerveScope, we believe that the most compelling stories come from diverse perspectives—and that includes yours. Whether you’re an experienced writer, a subject-matter expert, or someone with a unique story to tell, we welcome submissions from voices that align with our mission: to explore the world with depth, curiosity, and verve.

Writing for VerveScope means joining a community of creators dedicated to thoughtful, engaging content that informs, challenges, and connects. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about submitting work to our platform—from what we’re looking for to how the process works, including important details about compensation.

What We’re Looking For

VerveScope covers four core categories, and we’re always on the hunt for fresh, well-crafted pieces that fit our editorial spirit:

Business & Innovation

We seek stories that go beyond headlines to explore the human side of commerce, technology, and progress. Think: profiles of entrepreneurs redefining “success,” deep dives into how emerging tech impacts everyday life, or analyses of economic trends through a cultural lens. We prioritize pieces that ask big questions over those that merely report facts.

Culture & Arts

From underground movements to mainstream phenomena, we want writing that illuminates how creativity shapes (and reflects) our world. This includes reviews with a point of view, interviews with artists pushing boundaries, and essays that connect art to broader social themes. We’re particularly interested in underrepresented voices and niche subcultures.

Lifestyle & Wellness

We’re not here for fads or quick fixes. Instead, we want thoughtful takes on living intentionally—whether that’s exploring the science of relationships, the psychology of productivity, or how communities build resilience. Practical, research-backed advice is welcome, but it should always come with context and heart.

Society & Ideas

Big, messy, important topics find a home here: justice, identity, democracy, and the future we’re building together. We value nuance over dogma, and we’re open to essays, reported features, or personal narratives that challenge assumptions and invite readers to see issues from new angles.

Across all categories, we prioritize:

  • Original reporting or unique analysis (no regurgitation of press releases or widely covered stories).
  • Strong storytelling (even in nonfiction, narrative matters—hook us, keep us engaged, and leave us thinking).
  • Clarity and accessibility (complex ideas should be explained, not obscured, by jargon).
  • Empathy and curiosity (write with a willingness to understand, even when you disagree).

Submission Guidelines

To ensure your work gets the attention it deserves, please follow these guidelines:

  1. Pitch First (No Unsolicited Drafts)
We do not review unsolicited complete drafts. Instead, send a concise pitch (300–500 words) outlining:
    • Your story idea and why it matters to VerveScope’s audience.
    • Your unique angle (what makes this piece different from what’s already been written?).
    • Your qualifications (why are you the right person to write this?).
    • Any sources you plan to interview or research you’ve already done.
    • A proposed word count (we typically publish 800–2,000 words, though this varies by topic).
  2. Format Your Pitch
Send pitches to smongkolsuk917@gmail.com with the subject line: “Pitch: [Your Story Title] – [Category].” Include a brief bio (50–100 words) and links to 2–3 writing samples (published work preferred, but strong personal projects are welcome).
  3. Understand Our Timeline
We receive hundreds of pitches monthly, so please allow 2–3 weeks for a response. If we’re interested, we’ll reply with feedback and next steps. If you don’t hear from us within 30 days, feel free to follow up—but please respect that we can’t respond to every submission.
  4. Adhere to Our Style
VerveScope’s voice is conversational but authoritative—think “intelligent friend sharing a fascinating idea.” We avoid clickbait, sensationalism, and overly academic language. Familiarize yourself with our recent articles to get a sense of our tone.
  5. Originality & Ethics
All work must be original and not published elsewhere (including personal blogs or social media). We take plagiarism seriously; any submission found to include uncredited material will be rejected immediately. Fact-check your work thoroughly, and disclose any conflicts of interest (e.g., if you’re writing about a company you’ve worked with).

Compensation: Important Details

VerveScope values the work of writers and pays for published pieces. However, compensation is only provided for pitches that have been explicitly commissioned by our editorial team.

  • Commission Process: If we love your pitch, we’ll send a formal commission email outlining the scope of work, deadline, word count, and agreed-upon fee. Fees vary by experience, topic complexity, and word count, ranging from $15 to $80 for most pieces.
  • Payment Terms: Payment is made via direct deposit or PayPal within 30 days of publication. We do not offer “exposure” as compensation—all commissioned work is paid.
  • Critical Note on Unsolicited Work: Any work submitted without prior commission (including full drafts sent without a pitched and approved idea) will not be considered for publication, and no compensation will be provided under any circumstances. This policy protects both our editorial process and your work—we want to ensure alignment before you invest time in writing.

What Happens After Acceptance?

If your pitch is commissioned:

  1. You’ll receive a detailed brief with feedback on your idea, sources to consider, and structural guidance.
  2. You’ll submit a first draft by the agreed deadline. Our editors will provide constructive feedback for revisions (most pieces go through 1–2 rounds of edits).
  3. Once finalized, your piece will be scheduled for publication, with a byline, bio, and (if you wish) links to your social media or website.
  4. We’ll promote your work across our platforms, including newsletters, social media, and partner sites, helping you reach our 12.5 million monthly readers.

Who We Want to Hear From

We actively encourage submissions from writers who are underrepresented in mainstream media, including but not limited to:

  • Writers from racial, ethnic, or cultural backgrounds that are traditionally marginalized.
  • LGBTQIA+ writers.
  • Writers with disabilities.
  • Writers from rural or undercovered regions.
  • Emerging writers with unique life experiences.

You don’t need a journalism degree or a long publication history—what matters is a fresh perspective and a knack for storytelling.

Ready to Pitch?

We can’t wait to read your ideas. Remember: start with a pitch, be patient, and ensure your work aligns with VerveScope’s mission to explore the world with depth and curiosity.

Send your pitch to smongkolsuk917@gmail.com, and let’s tell stories that matter—together.
